haha, but I can see where you are coming from, I think Arbeloa has very quietly gone about becoming a very good rb and does privde a lot of support to the team down the right. Even his crosses are getting better. If he contiunes in this vein he will have saved us a **** load of cash, esp seeing how much boswingwa and Alves went forOriginally posted by Ferrrrnando View PostOh **** sorry mate.
In which case i nominate the same players again, but i must stress Arbeloa IS NOT included in my list.

Aye forgot about S.Ireland, he's been on fire all season."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

Giovanni - Some of those goals have just been silly. One season wonder i think but still
Gutierrez - I'd take him in a heartbeat to replace Pennant. Such a "Rafa" player too.
Young & Zaki obviously.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Doesn't Gutierrez play on the left (and would cost much, much more than Pennant)?Originally posted by MrMichael View PostGiovanni - Some of those goals have just been silly. One season wonder i think but still

I don't think Gutierrez is consistent enough. He shows promise in glimpses. He might turn good next seasonOriginally posted by MrMichael View PostGiovanni - Some of those goals have just been silly. One season wonder i think but still

I was thinking exactly that watching him yesterday. Aside from Shay Given he was the only one who had a decent game and his defensive work would not have gone unnoticed by Rafa I am sure. Plus he is Argentinian.

Owen. Showed that he is still a deadly finisher.
Lennon. The best Spurs player by a mile this season.
Young. The best winger in the league.
Given. Newcastle would be bottom of the league without him.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

The curse of dww strikes again.Originally posted by dww View PostNon LFC players only. For me:
Ricardo Fuller - the new Jason Roberts in my book. He was so bad last time in the PL I think that his improvement is worthy of note.
Frank Lampard - played from a less deep base without a proper deep lying holding player (Mikel still looks like a player learning the job IMO) has been much more creative this season. Less goals for him without Drogba up top to run off but overall he has excelled in the sort of slight change to his position that has floored him for years in the England team.
Denilson: Not the ideal player for the Arsenal team but his personal performances have been excellent.
Ashley Young: Keeps getting better - uses his pace well, neat close skills now crosses well regularly and has improved his finishing.
Ian Ashbee: used to watch him at Cambridge United - always looked a decent player but never thought I would see him in the PL but he has been a steady performer and good leader.
Overall the Bolton, Hull and Fulham teams have impressed me relative to how well I thought they would do.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
