I really don't think City need a new keeper. Joe Hart is a good young player. Ok so obviously if they were offered the likes of Buffon they'd take him, but they need centre-halves and holding midfielders more than a keeper.

If they are offering these kind of wages and absurd transfer fees, they will get more or less whom they want.

Great for them but the amounts of money involved are obscene IMO given the current global economic climate as well as other more important humanitairian issues facing the world.

I really think it says a lot about a person making what he does already, if he changes club just for the money!

It would clearly show a lack of ambititons like it did for Robinho and I doubt that you will win the league on players with that sort of character.

There is a reason that many clubs and managers won't offer a player silly money for them to join, if that is the only thing that motivates them. Rafa and ferguson are good examples, and barca as a club is another one.

How far did Real get under there galacticos project? They got worse than before when coming to metal in the club...

Hes going to be on 24 million a year + all his other sponsorships hitting over 30 milllion altogether.

I actually think it's more insane to spend 10M on Wayne Bridge than 100M on Kaka. But Citeh should spend on quality defenders (no, Wayne Bridge isn't one of those) or defensive midfielders rather than forwards, they've plenty already.

Once, IF Citeh sign Kaka, they will have no trouble attracting top defenders strikers or whatever player they want/need, but **** me it'll cost them, then again so what, money is just a play thing to them, it must be if they are talking utter stupidity like wages of 250-500 grand a week...a week ffs.

I love Kaka's agents comments about ambition and Robinho:

"To accept Manchester City, Kaka wouldn't do a matter based on money", he told Corriere dello Sport. "But to the competitiveness of the English side.

"Ricky would like a strong side. He would never do something like Robinho, who, just to earn more, contented himself with not a winning solution."

I think Wayne bridge is a decent buy for them. They know that they will have to pay inflated fees and it is important to get players who fit a way of playing. Bridge has a problem in that he is **** when he comes back from injury and needs games but once settled he offers a lot defensively and going forward. He also has something to prove having been second choice for Chelsea and England.

I personally think that City are approaching team building in a unbalanced way not just in the tactical types of player they have been after. I think they need to get players on the way up rather than peak or past it. One or two experienced heads is fair enough but if they concentrate on players who have already achieved a lot I think they will struggle to blend a team.

In the short term an experienced defender and defensive, or at least deep lying midfielder will help them a great deal but for next season and beyond the targeting of established superstars, especially without the carrot of the CL seems unlikely to work for them.

Surely all our taxes are going to be reduced with the amount he is going to be paying on that 500k a week

Just reported on SSN that Kaka has rejected a move to Man City, claiming he 'wants to grow old at AC Milan'.
