Lack of height at the back for Milan, Kaladze and Maldini aren't that hot in the air against Zlatan and Adriano.

LIVERPOOL YOUTH (4-4-2): Hansen; Darby, Spearing, Threlfall, Burns; Ryan, Flynn, Barnett, Putterill; Lindfield, Woodward (Eccleston 68). Subs: Roberts, Irwin, Highdale, Parsonage.

MANCHESTER UNITED YOUTH (4-4-2): Zieler; Eckersley, Strickland, Chester, Evans; Welbeck, Hewson, Drinkwater (Bryan 75), Galbraith; Brandy (James 90), Fagan. Subs: McCormack, Woods, Moffatt.

Highlighted the ones with first team action this season for either LFC/MUFC. Few of the lads are doing well at lower league clubs - Robbie Threlfall and Sam Hewson - who could come back. Craig Fagan has done well for Hull City too.

      That wasn't Craig Fagan. He's about 27.

I remember Welbeck from those games and I've also seen him in the flesh against our reserves. Didn't stand out at all but he looks comfortable at this level. Did very well against Spurs in the last round of the Cup.

        Game on.

And Shaggy, you're right about Fagan!

          Entertaining game this.

7 years since Mourinho lost a home league game.

What a save from Abbiati. Adriano in behind and the keeper was leaving the whole right hand side of goal empty...yet somehow saved it.

Best foreign game I've seen in a long, long time. Pissed all over the Glasgow derby earlier today.

To be fair, there IS a certain difference in quality between the players in the Glasgow one, compared to the Milan derby!

Glad the Mancs are through. The games are piling up, they're bound to start losing soon no worries. Let them have the FA Cup, Inter will knock them out of the CL, paving the way for our famous double

                          Teams for Arsenal v Cardiff

                          Arsenal
Fabianski, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Gibbs, Nasri, Song, Denilson, Vela, Eduardo, Bendtner. Subs: Almunia, Van Persie, Ramsey, Wilshere, Clichy, Bischoff.

                          Cardiff
Heaton, McNaughton, Rae, Purse, Johnson, Parry, Ledley, Kennedy, Burke, Bothroyd, McCormack. Subs: Capaldi, Whittingham, Johnson, Com*****s, Scimeca, Blake.

Btw. Andrey Arshavin is ineligible as he was signed after the original tie.

And a couple of nice quotes from Nicklas Bendtner: "It does not really matter to me who is fit and available," says Nicklas. "I should start every game, I should be playing every minute of every match and always be in the team." And there's more: "I've never seen Arshavin. I did not watch Euro 2008. I've no idea what sort of player he is." (BBC)

Loved his quotes today. Apparently he should "play every minute of every game". I guess you have to have confidence to be a striker.

Self-confidence is fine but Bendtner just sounds like a ****ing dick. * He's rubbish too.

                                * assuming quotes are accurate
