Well they'd already started struggling a bit at that point hadn't they? I'm not sure it was a major reason, but I imagine a lot of the players resented him a bit from then onwards for giving them a public dressing down like that. Thus perhaps morale suffered as a consequence?

I know it must be hard for them if they felt that way, but they're playing for their own careers too and it's shambolic that they're in a relegation battle after the first half of the season, where i think they manage to get 27 points.
Only 7 points in the second half of the campaign
A morale dip has last half a season for them

I Actually think what hurt them more was they strarted to believe they were going to get into europe.... sure brown and players had said it was achievable.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThat's very possible.

Brown should leave it at the end of the season, They will be shoe-ins for relegation next year if they stay up this season_____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?

I honestly reckon that on-pitch teamtalk/humiliation was the death knell for Brown. As V said I think the players lost all respect for him, and as we've seen with Drogba this season, it is absolutely true that some players cannot/will not play to their maximum for a manager they don't like. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

What's daft is that 80% of the Hull team will never play in the premiership for another club as they aren't good enough. Some of them will be picked up no doubt, but the majority will be back in teh Championship.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI honestly reckon that on-pitch teamtalk/humiliation was the death knell for Brown. think it will be Sunderland having to get a point against chelsea on the last day to ensure survival...Hull knowing they have to beat scum on the last day to stay upOriginally posted by JohnDoe View PostIf they beat Fulham, they're safe._____________________________________

I can see that point but I think the real killer has been a lack of leaders who have a real impact on the game at PL level. When they had momentum it is easy for the likes of Ashbee to get them going now they look lost (especially since Ashbee's injury). Both the on pitch bollocking and the failure to get reinforcements (like Reading before them - but Hull were a worse team to start with).Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI honestly reckon that on-pitch teamtalk/humiliation was the death knell for Brown. I think that with the right reinforcements Hull could do okay next year with Brown. tearing it up and starting again relegation or not would do more harm than good. They do however need to thing about their recruitment policy."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Boro going down is my priority, they are a pain in the neck to us. Newcastle are a pushover because they fundamentally believe they can out play us, which we know is ridiculous. Having said that, I'd love to see them both go down, just to see the Geordies cryOriginally posted by cannotmakeit View Postnot with the way Fulham is playing they won't.
West Brom, Boro and hopefully Newcastle. Hull need something to fight for on the last day so that we can keep dreaming.
Come on Wigan & Arsenal show some effing balls!!!!
