And the Monkeys all say Boo!
      There's a Nong Nang Ning
      Where the trees go Ping!

      On the Nong Ning Nang

And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
      So it's Ning Nang Nong!
      Cows go Bong!

Ipswich sign Dos Santos on loan

          BBC Sport, 13 March 2009

Ipswich Town have signed 19-year-old Tottenham striker Giovani dos Santos on loan until the end of the season.

The Mexican goes straight into the squad for the Championship encounter at Reading on Saturday.

Dos Santos joined Spurs from Barcelona for £4m last summer after making 28 appearances for the Spanish giants.

He has made 12 appearances for Tottenham this season, scoring once in last month's Uefa Cup victory against Shakthar Donetsk.

When they signed him my Spurs mate was crowing for weeks - bleating about the usual, that they were signing players we "could only dream of" and that they'd finish above us this year.

I told him Dos Santos is ****.

Just sent him a text gloating and here is his reply

"He's got talent but not sure he fits in. He's far from **** pal, just perhaps not what we need."

He's obviously a very skillful player but hasnt got the physical presence needed for the Prem IMO. He'd do better in Spain or Italy.

I remember Carlos Vela and him being superb for Mexico in one of the youth tourneys a couple of years ago.

Bit like LeTallec and Pongolle I suppose

The thing here is that Barcelona were willing to let him go unlike Messi, Iniesta, Xavi amongst others. I know they let go of Reina but he wasn't as hyped to be the next best thing like dos Santos.

That's exactly what I thought when Spurs signed him. If he was that good, Barca wouldn't have let him go.

To be fair Vela looks ****ing brilliant. He's an ace finisher...reminds me of Fowler.

I've been really impressed with him too, he's better than Bendtner who seems to start practically every game?!

Wenger is getting slaughtered by a lot of Gooners over this. In Adebayor's absence he's preferred the hopeless Bendtner with van Persie, largely, with a returning Eduardo and Vela as back-up. Naturally he seems to be getting a free ride in the press, with the wolves instead baying for Benitez's blood as usual. Wenger makes a lot of curious decisions and persists with **** or out-of-form players (Eboue being a prime example) but never seems to get questioned or criticised.
