Has anyone actually seen the Rooney incident? The 5 Live commentary suggested that it was a misunderstanding - in which case I imagine the card will be appealed if it was a straight red, or was it two yellows?

I think it was 2 yellows. And there's no way it was a misunderstanding. He simply threw the ball away out of frustration. He was seeing red all the way through.Originally posted by dww View PostHas anyone actually seen the Rooney incident? Nope, it was two yellows - they cant appeal.Originally posted by dww View PostHas anyone actually seen the Rooney incident? The 5 Live commentary suggested that it was a misunderstanding - in which case I imagine the card will be appealed if it was a straight red, or was it two yellows?
No misunderstanding either, he threw the ball at the ref in a show of petulance. Even if they deny he threw it at the ref, he still threw the ball away - which is a yellow card.

Could have a negative effect to thoughOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostI meant more in terms of ferguson being able to calm them down and steady them mentally. Two weeks is a long time to gather his troops and sort them out._____________________________________

I hope so, but i cant see how it could get much worse for them. They're rocking at the moment, and they've now got time to consolidate and compose themselves.Originally posted by red g View PostCould have a negative effect to though
The only good thing is that when we lose, i cant wait for the next game to rectify it - and footballers are the same. In their case, they'll be stewing on these two defeats for a fortnight.
