    I think it's fine, just gives the home team the advantage...and it only takes a few days to aclimatise, so it's not insurmountable...at higher altitudes i could understand it, bu 3000 metres is ok.

      Have you ever been at such a place? If you aren't used to it you don't have enough red blood cells to perform well there, and they can't be produced within a few days. You'll find it amazing how short-breathed you are after a bit of exercise. It gives the home side a huge advantage.

          A mate of mine who i think i mentioned on here, in fact he joined posted once and dissapeared - anyway, he was a pro footballer in peru and played for the under 21's - he told me about playing in high altitude - said it was a ****ing nightmare, didn't matter how fit you were, if you aren't aclimitised you are ****ed, after like 20 mins, you can't breath, can't focus, legs are like lead just pure hell

              If you guys can remember the Lennox Lewis fight with Hasim Rahman, he went underprepared - only leaving the UK the week before and not training a the sort of height the hotel was situated in.
