      Charming as ever

He walked away, was given numerous chances to come back, but he said no. That's a bit of class right there.
As an Irishman, I have absolutely no pride in him.
Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

I don't see your point as the same could be said of you.... with respect.

He didn't help anyone with what he did, only hurt his countries chances. I think anyone can say that can't they?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

I'm English and think he is the best footballer to have played in the PL.
(This is the declare your nationality thread isn't it??!)

I'd also say his performance away to Juve in the CL semi after getting booked and knowing he would miss the final was and is the greatest individual performance, he single handedly got Utd to that final.
I'm tempted to say that if the same happened to Gerrard he would sulk (there, I did say it)

Keane was spectacularly inspirational that night. I hated that evening - I remember it well - but as a football fan I'll never forget that performance. He was a giant amongst men. Amazing display.

Still a ****ing ****** though. He deliberately ended another man's career. What a cunt. He can speak well of us/Rafa all he likes - he will always be a cunt.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Regardless of peoples opinion about Keane the person or Keane the footballer let me mention this.
If he had played for Liverpool we would have won a **** load more than we did and Utd wouldn't have been anywhere near the dominant side they were/are.
The 'Spice Boys' era of pretty football but ultimately spineless wouldn't have happened.
He has left a legacy of very high standards at Utd, one that they still talk about and adhere to still.
