I was just thinking along similar lines. Just laughing to the Mrs and saying we'll put 6 past them on Sunday.

Actually they'll give us a really good game and we'll win a hard fought victory by the odd goal.

Newcastle fans streaming out in their hundreds with 5 minutes to go. And on the full time whistle, they offer their appreciation for their players' effort via a chorus of boos. They're not even down yet, there's still some kind of hope to cling onto, and yet they boo their side off.

Not meaning to but..they looked clueless tonight. We'll have had 7 days rest and preparation. They looked like they were running treacle after about the 65 minute mark. Butt/Guthrie/Smith vs Alonso/Mascher/Gerrard - come on, seriously!

I know someone went off injured but they were playing a weird 4-3-3 with absolutely zero width and Duff at left back ffs. Barring a calamatous defensive error or two from us we should swat them aside now problem. We will crush them

I know that there's no rationale for suggesting that they'll get anything on Sunday but i'm someone who stupidly worries about tempting fate and mockering things, so i personally wont think it'll be a foregone conclusion or an easy win, until we're in the 90th minute and we're at least 2 goals up.

We've come unstuck too often against teams people thought we should have beaten easily: Middlesborough, Stoke, Hull etc
