Barcelona signing Zlatan is the best transfer that could happen to Real Madrid this summer. Up until now I still had Barca as favourites, but if this happens, they're ****ed.

Inter Milan have opened negotiations with Barcelona over a swap deal involving the striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Barca's Samuel Eto'o.
Inter president Massimo Moratti told his club's website that he had held talks with counterpart Joan Laporta.
"We are trying to see if it is possible to enter both players in a deal. We will see, there is time," he said.
Eto'o came close to agreeing a move to Manchester City, before the Eastlands side ended their pursuit on 10 July.
The 28-year-old Cameroon international has scored more than 100 goals in five seasons at the Nou Camp but has been regularly linked with moves away from the club.

Probably a good deal for both sides

Since signing for Inter from Juventus following the Turin side's demotion to Serie B in 2006, 27-year-old Ibrahimovic has become one of the most prized strikers in Europe.
The Swede was top scorer in Serie A last season and has reportedly attracted attention from Real Madrid and Manchester United as well as European champions Barcelona.
"It was interesting for them to know something about Ibrahimovic, and talk about Eto'o, two players of the same quality," said Moratti.
"If an operation of this kind was carried out, it would regard both players."
Inter and Barcelona have done business once already this summer with Brazilian left-back Maxwell moving to Spain in a £3.9m deal.
The two clubs are also in talks over a deal that would see former Arsenal winger Alexander Hleb head in the opposite direction.

Ibrahimovic is lazy and nowhere near as good as Eto'o. Don't understand the appeal at all with him, every time I've seen Inter he's just looked ordianary recently. Over-inflated price thereOriginally posted by Reece View PostI'd rather have Eto'o in my team any day than Zlatan. And if we are saying that Eto'o would cost what £30m? That makes Zlatan worth £70m odd, and that is absolute bollocks. I'll be stunned if this does actually happen, and gutted. Does he even fit Barca's style of play?

La Gazzetta dello Sport in Italy spoke with Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti as he entered Inter headquarters this morning. Moratti confirmed that negotiations were “well underway” for the transfer of Ibrahimovic to move to FC Barcelona. Moratti also confirmed that the move includes Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o. Moratti did not want to speak about the specific finances of the transfer.

Guardiola must hate Eto'o, there is no other explanation, because this can't be happening for football reasons. Ibrahimovic is probably the most naturally gifted striker in the world, but mentally he's a car crash. He doesn't have the work rate that Eto'o has, nor is he a winner. Never scored in the CL knock out stage.
Bizarre, you get the feeling Moratti must trying very hard to keep a straight face when answering to the reporters.

A few people have said this but I've never seen a shred of evidence to support it.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

For all the criticisms of Ibrahimovic, you have to say his record speaks for itself and he has scored some pretty stunning and memorable goals throughout his career.
I question his ability against the very best and maybe Barca would be a good move for him to reach that next level."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley
