Doesn`t full-strength team here means that you need eleven players to start the game?
If you don`t you loose the game.
Isn`t this the same as you need at least eight players to continue the game. If four players are sent of the game is over. Didn`t this happend to Sheff. Utd a couple of years ago?Blank

You can play with 7 players. If you have 5 red cards, then the game is forfeited.
As for full strength, it means what it means, but the gutless authorities never uphold the rule. Officially, clubs are meant to be docked points for flouting this rule - this is why Middlesbrough, when they couldnt field a full squad for a game at Blackburn a few years back, didnt just send a youth team - because officially, they could've been docked points for it. At the end of the day, they were docked 3 points for failing to fulfil the fixture anyway.Last edited by Craig_H; 20-05-09, 01:17 PM.

Couldn't have put it betterOriginally posted by red g View Post****ing fuming that this ****er has come out and said we have earned the right to rest players and will play a severely weakened team on Sunday against Hull.
While i do agree with the principle, if it was Benitez or Wenger the Tabloids would be in uproar.
One rule for him, different rules for everyone else.....I ****ing hate that whisky nosed ****er!!!
Tell you what if it was his team affected lets say we were gunning for the league and tottenham played a weakened team he would be going ape****, so would the media and sky would probably be running it as there main story
I ****ing hate that cunts media bias, his weakened team will probably be a news blackout for fear of offending the senile old cunt

Phil Brown is one of Ferguson's acolytes..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I wouldn't slag off Ferguson for resting players, we did it in the past and would do it again if the situation arises. so I think people are reacting badly to it because it's the scum doing it now.
What I find unacceptable is that the media aren't having a go are Ferguson like they had a go at Rafa. Both did the same thing, when Ferguson does it, it's showing tactical awareness and a will to win, when Rafa did it he was showing disrespect to other clubs and English football in general. How two faced can you get.
As for Warnock I wouldn't have expected anything else from him, I hope some reporter calls him on it but I know they won't.The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I don't think anyone is having a go at Ferguson for resting players. It started of as you say having a go at the press etc for being so two faced, and then turned into a general Ferguson slag-a-thon. Because let's face it, it's fun.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostI wouldn't slag off Ferguson for resting players, we did it in the past and would do it again if the situation arises. so I think people are reacting badly to it because it's the scum doing it now.

well it's been mentioned before - but right now, who in the league is a threat to fergie, who is in a position to challenge him both on and off the pitch - only liverpool and rafa come close, hence why the whole rafa vs fergie ****e has been devolped - obv we are biased, but other than the odd article here and there people seem so scared or up fergusons arse that many point the finger at rafa more than fergie!
For starters - the absolute laughable and disgraceful attack by ferguson and allardyce roughly a month ago didn't get the dissaproval it deserved - ok a few pundits raised eyebrows, some laughed, but noone other than liverpool fans really really slaughtered ferguson for it - yet a few weeks later there is ann issued made out of the fact rafa said well done to man united but didn't specifically say anything to ferguson!!!
Well why the **** should a few weeks ago the cunt with another premier league manager was trying to set him!!i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
