its a circus of a football club which has always amazed me that it some how keeps ticking over without completley imploding (prob thanks to the government money thrown their way )

Real Madrid just come across to me as Newcastle but with success - ie, sack managers, bring back old managers, sack them again, sign expensive attacking players when they desperatley need a defender who can kick a ball etc.

Villarreal have always played nice football but the problem with them was the lack of consistency in the side. They were second last season but have come fifth, missing out on the CL spot.

With Zidane been given the Director role at the club, its obvious Perez wants to attract some big names to the club. Perez treats Real Madrid as a business; an unfortunate circumstance of the way the game has evolved. All you have to do is look at the comments he made about Ronaldo. Real Madrid lost something like 40% in revenue the year David Beckham left the club so they are desperate to recoup some of the money back.

With Pelligrini, he is Wenger without the constant moaning and bitching. Nice guy, knows the Spanish set up, a yes man if ever you have seen one. It will be a test to see whether he can cope with the intense pressure and scrutiny as he lacks the experience of mounting a title challenge in La Liga.
