I know we've scored and things look a bit more palatable, but what do Maduake, Gordon, etc offer that Ngumoa couldn't. At least he is never scared to take on a player, the wide players we have on display can't beat their man at all.

I agree, but even Ngumoah could be quicker and more direct. He's a little ponderous some times - but still an improvement on all of this, I agree.

Well, that was as ever a bit of an anti-climax. Would be great to watch an England game where they actually dominated and won decisively, but apart from playing minnows I don't see that happening. Anyway, Mexico will knock us out.

Hard work on England players legs. And they're through for yet another one of those in a few days. That will take its toll on Arsenal players for next season.

Not seeing Elliot Anderson as a £130m midfielder. True to his Scottish roots (both parents) he looks solid but unspectacular.

Not seeing it either. I've only really had one ye on the England games to follow bets but from what I have seen and if these are the best English players available no wonder the Premier League has so many foreign imports.
