Seeing Emma Hayes explain part of England's tactics got me wondering a little.
I know sometimes we see men doing it - like Carra et al. but it is curious that - to my view anyway - it is generally more often the female commentators who are referencing tactics in an 'instructive' manner, rather than just opining ' England need to get into it!'.
Is it what female commentators need to do, in order to get heard ? Is it the way commentating input should go? (I think yes). Why do the men generally not do it? Is it just the case that most of the male commenters are useless?Really?

i mean I dont find people explaining passing in triangles to be vaguely entertaining. Bite sized tactical instructions just seems a bit condescending. I tend to turn off half time and full time analysis anyway, but this hardly seemed essential viewing. I guess if you are a casual viewer it may hold some value, but its not going to win over long time fans. Most of us think we are all experts anywayOriginally posted by baitman View Post
