Funny how some United fans think Fergie is simply a God in the transfer market and that £80m will be spent well.

I reminded them of the £55m he wasted on Nani, Hargreaves & Anderson. £55m!!!!!!!

Then they've got the problem with prices being inflated such as with the vastly over-priced Berbatov £30m & Carrick £20m

Of course if they can get 2-3 of the superstars being linked then yes they've got a chance but I think most of the top players being talked about aren't gonna come ......

Ribery - hates England and went to Germany 2 years ago despite interest from PL clubs back then
Benzema - on record as saying he wants to go to Spain if he leaves Lyon. Barcelona interested.
Villa - going to Madrid
Aguero - possibility but Milan, Barcelona, Chelsea & Man City competing
Eto'o - possibility but seems to favour Inter & Serie A

yep i have some weird mancs doing the same.......they do realise that he may not get it all, and for a start they have to replace 102 goals from tevez and the ladyboy over the last 2 seasons.

Some things money cannot buy.

i reckon a big chunk of that cash will go to service their huge debt which the media never seem to mention. Also i dont think its as simple as real writing a check for 80 million and handing it to the united accountant, its paid in chunks over time. He has a bigger transfer budget but ronaldo is really a massive loss for them which wont be easy to fill. Also he has to basically rebuild his midfield and attack after what happened in the champions league final. finally, would a few of the other united players be now looking at the exit door?
