i believe that egypt aren't a bad side! - i am not watching the game but i am sure i read somewhere that they are pretty decent and one of the more organised african sides but not the most fashionable with big names, ala nigeria, cameroon and more recently ivory coast - i may be wrong but i don believe that in recent years they have been succesful in the african nations?

TBH, they actually look more useful going forward than they do at the back. That's why i was wondering if its just because Brazil arent very good defensively, because the idea of Egypt being defensively organised and hard to break down, has looked laughable, but going forward, they press and hassle defenders well and are looking capable of threatening to score goals.

in fact looking into it - according to wiki - Egypt have won the last two african nations (2006 and 2008) and have won the tournemant the most times (6) and appeared in the most finals (7) and the most tournements (21) and hosted it the ost times (4)

The Egyptians are getting a pharaoh-ld amount of joy in the wide areas when they get their crosses in. They're competing for the crosses well and the Brazilian defenders look like they're calling for their mummies when the ball comes in.

There's been some criticism of the structure of this competition, with two groups and only 8 teams. Some have suggested a more pyramid based structure but i think we're niles away from that happening.
