Should be a boring World Cup. Spain have to be clear favourites.

This Italy team is really horrible but we all know that they're luckilly advancing at the expense of Egypt and and will somehow manage to get to the final, like they always do. (really don't like the *******s)

The old guard of France, Italy, Germany & Brazil look shadows of their former selves.

Newer powers are overshadowing them now, the likes of Spain, Croatia, Russia, Holland etc. Having said that, one or two of the old guard will still surely be a threat, they always manage to somehow.

Germany have taken the 'worst german team ever' to a good few recent competitions and somehow done far better than they were apparently good enough to do.

No, but they are a growing team. Its a young team which has some great potential.

Get in! USA finally played like the team we know and love (well, a few of us anyway)... 3-0 against the African Champions will do and we're through to get murdered by Spain. Excellent result in the face of difficult odds (and thank you Brazil!)... I know this cup is worthless and we've been horrid against Italy and Brazil, but it's still nice to see us get a big result and be a part of some (minor) drama.
