I have heard he's thinking it over because it may affect his image back home. He may be seen as a mercenary. Well that's a shocker. Are they not already aware of this in Togo? He was sniffing around Milan last season since they were going to pay him more

Wenger must be pissing himself. He's sold a three legged donkey for £25m.

I'd like us to put in a bid for Bojinov. The lad would be grateful to play for the reserves at present, and he might provide some decent backup - potential to really kick on despite his injuries. Got to be worth £3m..
          Really?

            £3m would be a waste of £3m

I fancy city to challenge for a top 4 spot this year.. if they want to progress into a real force then they will have to replace Hughes IMO

But it won't always be this way, well for Adebayor possibly, but City, they will become a force, not a lot of doubt about that, they will just employ the correct people until they do, how long it takes is the thing.

I don't understand what Hughes plan is here? Overloading the frontline with ego's is the plan of a man with no clue. There is no way he will be able to keep them all happy, nobody can do that, not Barca, Manu or Real.

He'd have been better off sticking to 2 top strikers and adding a couple of decent defenders, and maybe a bid in for the likes of Robben as a top quality winger. It will all go wrong and he won't last the season.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Maybe he's looking at 4-3-3 with Tevez and Robinho on either side of Adebayor/Santa Cruz, and with Bellamy and Wright-Phillips as back-up.
                      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

It's difficult to know who is controlling the transfer strategy though surely.

I actually think people are over stating the oddness of the transfers they have made. They have two front line forwards in Santa Cruz and Adebayor but a lot of the other players could play in deeper positions running on. Certainly you can imagine Robinho and Tevez wide of one of those two. Santa Cruz hardly has a blemish free injury record and with 7 places on the bench I'm not sure there is a huge problem.

The fact they have only got Barry as a top midfield/defensive signing is more of a worry but it's not as if other teams have made many signings yet so it is possible there are more to come.

Any idea on he odds for Hughes to be gone by the end of the season. His, Loadsamoney approach to the transfer market reminds me of someone with no clue. He's like a kid in a sweet shop. Their form will be up and down. And like so many have posted on here... they have too many ego's to massage and theres bound to be some falling out in the dressing room....
