Eto'o's obviously quicker, more mobile, more subtle/less 'bulky' and produces more often in the big games. Ibra is the typical targetman (with a bit of skill and touch thrown in) but he's not interchangable with Messi and Henry in terms of position, like Eto'o was.

Personally, i thought barca were mental to pay that much and get an inferior striker in the process. Since then, Eto'o's gone backwards IMO and isnt the same player as a couple of years back. Ibra's still not all that either.

Worryingly enough, the kind of striker they SHOULD have in their side is someone of Torres' calibre.

Well I know he came on......I wondered if he wasn't 100% or something.

Eto'o doesn't fit in as well at Inter as he did at Barca, which was a seamless, perfect fit for both parties. A crazy crazy deal.

He's getting played in a different position due to Milito playing down the middle, at Barca he was the focal point of the attack and flourished in that position

For Inter he is required to work a bit wider, it can also be argued that Inter will not create as many chances as Barca

Anelka suffers from this at Chelsea aswell, he proved so much more effective centrally but is shifted to accomodate Drogba

Aye but Eto'o was used plenty in wide areas by both Rijkaard and Guardiola at Barca too.

Zlatan has had a very good first season with Barcelona - the structure of the deal was perhaps a little ridiculous but it gives Barca another option of going long if required. Although Messi is that flipping good you'd probably never need to go long - but the option is now there for them. It wasn't with Eto'o.

Watching barca tonight and it's criminal how much Zlatan limits their play. He's just not remotely fluid or mobile, and just goes against everything barca do on the field.

They look impotent with him up there If he continues playing the majority of the rest of their games, i think it'll give Madrid the initiative in the title race.

And typically, Zlatan has now just scored a tap in

It's still valid though - he scored a tap in from 6 yards, with the keeper stranded

He'll score goals like that, but he doesnt do a lot else, which isnt in keeping with a barca attacking player.

He certainly doesnt warrant that bizarrely inflated fee.
