So £25m for Adebayor and £16m for Toure.

The board will probably let Wenger spend about £10m of that.

Lescott isn't coming there to play left back. He'll play with Toure in the middle, and Onouha is ahead of Dunne in the pecking order as is Kompany. Bridge will play left back.

This is the team I knocked up earlier...

                Given

                Richards/Onuoha
                Toure
                Lescott
                Bridge

                Kompany
                Barry

                Ireland
                Tevez
                Robinho

                Adebayor

With these in reserve: Onuoha/Richards, Dunne, De Jong, Wright-Phillips, Elano, Petrov, Santa Cruz, Bellamy, Bojinov etc etc......

To be fair, it's anyone's guess what that buffoon does with that lot.

In fairness he does have a number of players who could play in several positions. Lots of versatility - it'll be interesting to see his preferred idea.

Actually, it's pretty clear cut. I'd be very surprised if they don't line up like what Shaggy suggested for the first game of the season (only change is De Jong for Kompany).

It's a very strong team, on par with Arsenal and maybe better because they have a decent spine there.

                          Nice. That's Everton's defence ****ed.

Here's hoping Worf hands in a transfer request.

Lots of people are forgetting the difficulty in getting a virtually new team to adjust and gel together quickly. Plus, having so many options could be quite confusing for a relatively inexperienced coach.
