If Bullard stays fit and Altidore and Negredo hit the ground running I think they should stay up.

Burnley, Birmingham and Wolves will go down for me although Wigan are significantly weaker now after losing Cattermole, Palacios, Valencia, Heskey and Zaki in a relatively short space of time. Hmmm, scratch that, Wigan to go down and Wolves to stay up.

        Fixed.

I think the Brummies will stay up this time, barely but they will. They've got a solid side. Portsmouth are for me, utterly screwed. Wigan are in serious trouble too, but the Mick McCarthy factor can't be ignored.

Hold on a second. Have Hull actually signed Negredo from Real Madrid???

          Never heard about this.

            Sky:

10.10 Sources close to Real Madrid claim that Hull City are poised to complete an 18million euros (£15.5million) swoop for Alvaro Negredo, with the striker set to sign a four-year deal.

That's a bit steep, makes Aquilani look a fair deal.

Strikers win games and are the difference between relegation and staying up at that end of the table.

With Altidore, Negredo and the likes of Cousin and Geovanni Hull look a lot better than most too.

Plus they still have Jimmy Bullard to come back. It spells trouble for the likes of Wigan, Birmingham, Pompey and Burnely. Three form those four to go down.

Birminghams success will depend on how C. Benitez eventually settles.
                  Forwards.......

That's about as 'from left field' as you can get.

He must be desperate to get out of Madrid

Wigan are in trouble IMO, I've got mates who are Wigan fans, so I've been looking at their squad, after selling Valencia, Palacios, Cattermole and Heskey in the last year and losing Zaki as well their squad consists of:

                      Gk: Kirkland, Pollitt, Kingson
Def: Melchiot, Bramble, Scharner, Figueroa, Edman, Boyce
Mid: Gomez, McCarthy, Brown, N'Zogbia, Komas, De Ridder, Kapo, Watson, Thomas, Cho Won-hee, Cywka
Strikers: King, Scotland, Rodallega and Scott Sinclair (on loan)

Their defence was good last year and hasn't changed but they kept Kirkland fit and had players sitting in midfield that they've sold. Their problem was scoring goals and I can't see that improving with the strikers they have there

I think Martinez is a good boss but he has taken a bit of a risk by going with players he knows from the lower leagues and some young players. I have a feeling that they will be okay though. I certainly hope so as he plays a nice brand of football.

If he can get Bramble and Sharner to play as well as Bruce did I think they will probably be okay.

think Pomepy have a doomed look about them and possibly Hull
will go for Pompey, Hull and maybe Burnley

Title contenders have to be looking at getting in the region of 35 points from that lot. If not more.
Bit harsh on at least they try/and do play some decent football. I will be very surprised if burnley go down this season

I actually think burnley maybe ok,

they play decent football and may surprise a few people early doors.

Although it didnt do West brom any favours.
