150,000 seems like too large a capacity considering that they only fill the Camp Nou a handful of times every season.

      It does look impressive though.

A couple of dedicated underground stations and a "park and drive" decent bus system would help solve traffic congestion, just ban cars from the island.

There's no way that will get build imo. Barcelana is a beautiful city and the impact of a monsterous stadium on the waterfront would have a huge impact on the place. Surely they'd never get planning permission.

Been to the Bernabeu, it was utterly breath taking

It's not really about how it looks though, it's the history and heritage that it holds. San Siro, Camp Nou and Santiago Bernabeu are the three most iconic stadiums in the world for me and i desperately want to visit each of them.

I spat my dummy out and refused to go on the Bernabau tour, peeked through the doors though and thought it looked superb.

San Siro looks majestic on the descent in to Milan airport but I've not been close to it

That would be a ridiculously expensive project.

First off you have the high tech 150,000 stadium....and then the issue of actually building the thing on water.

Wont happen, its just a concept

Add on top of that the logistical nightmare in getting 150,000 fans on/off the stadium island via that narrow connection (can I call it the isthmus?)

Saw Pongolle play with Recra at Camp Nou in 07. Was ace.

Stadium is a lot colder than Anfield though, despite its more southerly location.

Ace new stadium, but cannot see it happening.
                      3rd place. Worst champions ever.

I saw Barca vs Espanyol - final game of the season either 06 or 07 I think. Either way, Barca had won the league the previous game and so this was their big celebration. Was a carnival atmosphere, topped off by bands/fireworks on the pitch after the game. Was an amazing experience

Craig - you have to go to Camp Nou. It's old, worn out and rickety but absolutely amazing at the same time.

I'll certainly be toddling over to this place if it ever gets built.
There's nothing wrong with being old, worn out and rickety.

Apart from being old, worn out and rickety.
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

There is no mention of the club actually commisioning this is there? I think it's just some bloke who was a bit bored.
                            Oh I don't know.
