A couple of dedicated underground stations and a "park and drive" decent bus system would help solve traffic congestion, just ban cars from the island.Originally posted by Matt View PostChrist imagine the traffic congestion. Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.

Been to the Bernabeu, it was utterly breath takingOriginally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostThe Nou Camp's well ugly from the outside mate, the Bernabau looks far more impressive.
That proposed stadium looks stunning beyond belief.
It's not really about how it looks though, it's the history and heritage that it holds. San Siro, Camp Nou and Santiago Bernabeu are the three most iconic stadiums in the world for me and i desperately want to visit each of them.

I spat my dummy out and refused to go on the Bernabau tour, peeked through the doors though and thought it looked superb.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostBeen to the Bernabeu, it was utterly breath taking

San Siro looks majestic on the descent in to Milan airport but I've not been close to it

That would be a ridiculously expensive project.
First off you have the high tech 150,000 stadium....and then the issue of actually building the thing on water.
Wont happen, its just a concept"When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

Add on top of that the logistical nightmare in getting 150,000 fans on/off the stadium island via that narrow connection (can I call it the isthmus?)Originally posted by Harv View PostThat would be a ridiculously expensive project.

Craig - you have to go to Camp Nou. It's old, worn out and rickety but absolutely amazing at the same time.
I'll certainly be toddling over to this place if it ever gets built.
There's nothing wrong with being old, worn out and rickety.
Apart from being old, worn out and rickety.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
