TBF he was ****e, but the lad has turned it right round and is now easily one of the hottest and most exciting players in Europe IMO. That period when Spurs spent money like a drunken sailor has paid off IMO.

This thread was started 3 years ago when he was 20.
Perhaps a lesson to be learned from those expecting our 17-20 yo’s to be world beaters and exaggerating their ‘regression’ after a few poor performances.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

It is all about balance, i.e. also not getting carried away with young talent and over hyping them.

Aye, despite all my moaning about people harshly criticising, I’m just as guilty of doing the exact opposite.
