I thunk you are wrong Dan, I can't think one exclusive he has exposed, all he does is conjecture, guess and pass on tittle tattle. (very similar to us here)

I remember the 5 billion comments he made when Rafa was gaffer, nothing every came of them unless the whole world was saying the same thing.
Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.

Seeing as how his name has cropped up every now and then in this thread - yet another footballer handing in a 'media transfer request'

Highly-rated goalkeeper Simon Mignolet is ready to leave Sunderland, according to his agent.

The Belgian has two years of his current contract left to run but club chiefs have been keen to secure one of last season's star performers on an extended deal.

His agent does not expect the 24-year-old to stay at the Stadium of Light beyond 2015 but with a series of clubs - thought to include Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United - circling, has suggested Sunderland may want to cash in sooner.

"I think it is very unlikely that he will sign a new contract," Nico Vaesen told the Sunderland Echo.

"Simon has obviously come to a point where he wants to step up a level and there is a lot of interest in him.

"He is very ambitious and wants to play in the World Cup, in Brazil, next year.

"It was a good thing that Sunderland stayed up and it is a fantastic club where he has had three great years.

"But it is maybe time to step up a level and play for a club competing for a European spot."

Insisting Sunderland would have the final say, he added: "All teams that are interested in Simon, we direct them to Sunderland.

"He still has a two-year contract there and any interested clubs have to agree a price with Sunderland first. That is the way we conduct our business."

Still rumours that Reina will be off

        Comment

The fact we haven't lazily been linked to Vorm makes me think we'll have a new keeper come August.

I know Valdes has said he's staying, but I believe Reina - unfortunately - will be replaced.

I think Reina wants to go to Barca and I think Barca want him. Just being dragged out.

The delay must be from Barca's side ... I mean, Reina has cleared out his locker, innit.

Still, I won't believe he's defo off until I get Daniel7's reconnaissance report.

Ha Nico Vaesen? I remember him playing for Spurs in the late 80's.

                    Mignolet's transfer situation seems Torresesque.

Unfortunately Pepe lives in a gated community. I followed his car back once and got as far as the gates. I couldn't sly in behind him because those gates were ****ing quick.

Pepe Reina knows that if Víctor Valdés remains between the sticks for Barcelona next year then he won't be joining the 'Azulgranas'. "It's obvious that if Víctor stays for next season there's no chance that I would sign for Barça", said the Liverpool keeper, who then continued: "There has been no contact that I know about".

The shot-stopper who plays for Liverpool and Spain confirmed that "Víctor wants to honour his contract and you have to respect that".

"He has said that he's not leaving Barcelona and he wants to honour his contract, and that has to be respected. I have a contract with Liverpool, so all the rumours going round are just that, rumours", Reina said at the Las Rozas training complex (Madrid).

Pepe Reina is one of the 23 players called up by Spain's national coach, Vicente del Bosque, for the Confederations Cup, which starts on 15th June.

"All of us players are full of expectations for this tournament. For me personally, as someone who doesn't live in Spain, I'm very enthusiastic about contributing my grain of sand towards trying to win the title. It's the only title we haven't won yet.

We want to get over the painful memories of the Confederations Cup in 2009", Reina concluded, referring to the unexpected semi-final defeat to the United States.

BTW for anyone who's interested, Marca are also running a story saying Rafa is hoping to take Mascherano to Naples. Would stick it in the Mascherano thread if I could be bothered to look for it.
