He's a proven success in Spanish football.
I do wonder though, how the bastions of 'attacking flair football' at Madrid would take to Rafa's uber-negative cautious drossball. I also wonder what he'd do with dynamic attacking flair players like Ronaldo and Kaka. It'd probably confuse the hell out of him

it would work out for the best of us. The return of xabi to destroy the evil empire that is utd :http://i44.tinypic.com/2r45zyc.jpg and 'Raffa the hut' will be goneOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostIn actual fact, Alonso's face would be a picture, if Rafa did indeed rock up at the Bernabeu

well, he won a cl he shouldn't have won and lost one he shouldn't have lost. He won La Liga against a Real Madrid team that capitulated 5 games out - then won another one. But, let's be honest, Hector Cuper built that team really. He's spent enough in the past 5 years to warrant a league while the Scum and Chelsea have arguably got weaker - and thankfully Arsenal went backwards - that's the analysis I'd hand over to a potential employer. And them's the facts. If Benitez does go, I'd expect him to fall on his sword if he's that "connected" with the club and fans - he gets paid £80,000 A WEEK afterallOriginally posted by spanky View Postunlike the british media, rafa is highly regarded in europe and would be in real madrids fans wishlist.Last edited by ronanm; 11-03-10, 01:19 AM.Substance > Style

True but you look at his cv and you see 1 european cup, 1 fa cup, 2 la liga titles and 1 uefa cup. Thats what the potential future employer will look at it and if its a spanish team they'll put a lot of his problem down to our owners and financial constraints.
We can debate forever how, why and if about his career achievements but the bottom line is will he win more trophies in the future which my money is on yes.
i myself think he's gone in the summer, to either italy or back home. The real question for liverpool is what next.

They tore them to shreds in the first half. The ******s couldn't put the bloody ball in the net though. It should have been at least 3-0 at HT.Originally posted by PeteBest View PostAnd Craig predicted that Real would be spanking Lyon.

or he'd sign masher from liverpool and stick him in front of madrids back four then tell all the forward players " keep attacking as that short angry argie will watch your back"
not much to hope for
will lead the way for there will be
