You cant take any quotes from Madrid seriously though.

They sacked Capello for winning La Liga but not the CL and they sacked Del Bosque for winning the CL and not La Liga.

They also said there was 'never ever ever' any chance of them signing Beckham, shortly before they unveiled the deal.

If you want to know what is going on, listen to what a Madrid official says, and then expect the opposite to happen.

There was more to it than simply winning this and not winning that though. Capello had them playing boring insipid football, which unlike at Liverpool doesn't fly in Madrid, and whilst Del Bosque had done well, Madrid had huge power struggles at the time he left.

Italy are in danger of losing one of their CL places to Germany, if Inter don't go through and if Bayern and Stuttgart(and Werder&Wolfsburg) get far in the competition.

I think Chelsea have far too much in them for Inter to cause any problems, especially now that Hilarius is not in goal.

If that headed chance had fallen to Milito instead of Eto'o, Inter would've had their away goal. Eto'o turned to **** since he went to Inter, a shadow of the lethal player he was at Barca. I really rate Diego Milito though.

Aye, always a threat with that trio they've got up top, and Sneijder's always liable to deliver quality set pieces. Before the game, i fancied Inter to pinch a goal at some point, but halfway through, i'm starting to wonder if they're showing enough ambition to do so. Obviously if chelsea score first, that will change.
