Chamakh (sp?) just went through on goal, until his oversized hoof knocked the ball too far and allowed George Clooney in the Olympiacos goal to smother it.

Chamakh scores 2-1 to (hopefully) net me over £400

As long as Olympiacos dont score another and as long as neither Scunthorpe, nor Stuggart score 2 goals before their games end

it's funny cos it's true. The path will be cleared for the mancs to reach Madrid.

Cheers mate, i was thinking Bordeaux were going to let me down - especially when Chamakh went through on goal in the last 10 minutes, and ****ed it up at 1-1

Messi was an absolute joy to watch last night. A total joy to watch, a reminder of why I love football. I honestly think he's heading towards Maradona status. Maybe all he needs to do is have a massive World Cup.

What annoyed and amused me last night was ITV and Sky's desperate attempts to keep Rooney ranked alongside him. Give me a ****ing break. Steve Ryder asking Southgate if there's anything to choose between Messi and Rooney! During the ad breaks I flicked over to SSN, where Paul Walsh was asked "is Messi better than Rooney? Can he be better than Rooney?"

Talk about desperate. They'll do anything to try and dupe their viewers into believing we have the best in our league. Do me a favour.

Messi is head and shoulders above Rooney, above everyone.

I'm going to be controversial and say that while not as easy on the eye Rooney's work rate and intelligence in deep play probably do mean that this season he deserves to be ranked alongside Messi. In order to be classified as being as good or even better than Messi he will have to show it is not just a one off season though.

I did laugh last week at the shock on Sky and BBC when Ince said much the same as I have when asked if Rooney was 'a football genius'.

I think You have to put Ronaldo in that same class too. Again not as pretty but at least as effective as Messi.

I don't think either are as effective as Messi. Messi scores as many goals, if not more, makes as many if not more goals, and scores beautiful goals. He's head and shoulders above Rooney, Ronaldo, whoever you care to mention. He's inching into the all-time great category if you ask me.

Yeah, i'd be inclined to agree. Reminds me of Maradona, which is the biggest compliment.
