I wasnt having a pop at Wenger, I think he is a fantastic manager. It was having a pop at his quote. Furious Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was enraged by the tackle, which he described as 'horrendous'.

Hopefully it was a spur of the moment comment and once he has seen the footage he will change his mind

I assume that's aimed at me?

I wasn't referring to you having a pop at Wenger when I said it was a stupid thing to say, I was referrring to your comment that Wenger should 'get over it' - like an injury to a promising player like Ramsey is a trivial thing.

Saying he should get over it was obviously in the context of him blaming Shawcross and thinking the world is against him and out to break all of his players' legs. That was crystal clear, I'd explained more than once that I understood he would rightly be upset about the injury. I'll say it again, being upset about the injury is no ****ing excuse for the **** he came out with.

Collymore (I know, I know) has just made a good point. Basically said that Wenger is trying to make football a non-contact sport and if he doesn't like the style of football in England, he should try Spain or Italy.

Stan's normally a moron on so many things but he's pretty spot on here.

            Can't really argue with that.

Thing is, wenger will add this to his moans about teams being phyiscal against his team, actually I think he already has. This was basically a 50-50 ball and both players went for it at full pelt. Could hae quite easily resulted in injury the other way round with a split second difference in the timing. Both players were committed equally.

And wenger is still a ****.

Total accident. No faulting Shawcross at all...not one bit of blame should be loaded on this lads shoulders for this.

Wenger owes him an apology imo, yes i know he was upset after the game, but he was wrong, the lad did'nt even really make a tackle, it was Ramseys pace and leg position that caused the problem, anyone attempting to tackle him at that moment would have had similar results. imo.

In the Video the thing that pisses me off is Sol ****ing greedy **** Campbell. I hate that cunt and his reaction to the ref is the worst thing. Jumping up and down like a spoilt little ****. The point Collymore made was spot on if Wenger want less contact he should **** off to spain. I cant stand Wenger for the way he tries to blame everyone else and calls ref's bent ect.

Everyone goes on about the beautiful football they play but it has won them **** all in 5 years and turned his players soft as they dont like going into a tackle. It's a far cry from the days of Adams and Keown.

Wenger didnt moan when the likes of Veria were making leg braking tackles and its his fault if he has filled him team with players who are soft.

Ramsey was very unlucky but it was a 50 50 and these things happen. Remember Razor and cole where he broke both of coles legs?

Was going to mention that, out of all of them he should have been keeping his head and giving Ramsey support, not cavorting around stamping his feet in some holier than thou attitude.

Another thing if anyone of us were in Shawcross's position we would have made the a challenge as the ball was there to be won and it was a 50 50. I know i would of as i don't have a crystal ball and every slide tackle at speed can cause a potential injury. But it is a contact sport and the ball was there to be won.

Also with all this bd press maybe his price will go down and we can get him?

Just once i would love to see a journalist confront Wenger at a press conference on these conspiracy theories against his team and suggest if he doesn't like the contact in England maybe he should try spain or italy!

I cant stand Wenger, his hypocrisy is astonishing.

His teams over the years when they dont have the ball have been built on having 2 people in central midfield who just smash the opposition when they're on the halfway line and break up play, Vieira, Petit, Edu, Grimandi, Gilberto etc etc, same tactic everytime, as soon as an oppo player gets the ball - bang, foul. Its a clever tactic but he cant hack it when others do the same. Then theres his horrendous disciplinary record though allbeit thats improved in the last few years.

This trying to wreck a players image everytime theres a bit of bad luck against them needs to stop aswell.

I dont think his attitude helps his team either, his team play with his personality, whiney, snide gob****es who dont mind losing as they always have an excuse. They wont win the league, choking the easiest fixture list of the lot then at the end of the season declaring "its ok, all our players are teenagers" "The Ramsey injury ruined us" etc etc

i wonder what we'd all be saying if it was one of our players. he didn't mean to break ramsey's leg, but ffs how many players go into a challenge wanting to break someone's leg?! it was a very, very recless thing to do by shawcross flying into someone like that, and like some of you have said on many occasions, "if he weren't a proper english lad" he'd be slaughterd by the media and fans alike. that's what you get when you play the brand of "football" brum did and stoke do. recless to say the least, not to mention he had his leg to high of the ground.

now slaughter me if you want for saying that..

I totally agree with all of that except I do think they'll win the league. I know they're three behind and still have it all to do but I expect them to win the next five, which'll surely leave them in pole position.

I just don't see this 'flying into' Ramsey, it's Ramsey that's carrying all the speed, and his ankle looks to be giving under him before anyone touches him, Sawcross's leg doesn't even carry much forward momentum, he's hardly moved/swept it forward at all before Ramsey hit's it.
