Gerrard is surely carrying some kind of injury? Can your legs really 'go' that quickly? He looked in prime physical condition last season.

One thing that has struck me over the last couple of weeks when watching Arsenal, Chelsea and Utd is that they all look fitter (ooer) than us

I think most teams look fitter when they are playing better. We spend to much time chasing and don't look alert enough to move when we have the ball. It's sort of the reverse of what happened last season when our good form after our Christmas/new year blip improved and all our players looked fitter and sharper.

I think all players are different in terms of when their legs 'go'. For example Roy Keane seemed to be very sudden, Vieira too as far I remember but Henry seemed a slow steady fall from his peak and has been rejuvenated after a while at Barca.

In an ideal world no, but sometimes it's out of your hands, one will always lose out..unless only one side want's a player...which is'nt usually the case...unless like our targets recently..they are free transfers.

If Arshavin was thinking about which club to join..he had a stable club in Arsenal, new stadium, london based, further along with their football vision that we are, looking at us he'd see a club in disarray, no cash for top signings, no cash for a stadium...possibly many many years of transition to come, unfortunately this is possibly what Torres etc see too.

Top, in demand players, need to be sold a future at a club, they need to be convinced a club has the means to move forward, right now we don't offer that vision, nor do we have the means to it seems.

Yeah but losing out because we ****ed about and dawdled, especially when it's a regular thing, is hard to swallow.

If that were the only reason, then i'd agree, edited my post to include what he'd have been faced with as a carreer choice.

Iv got a sneaky feeling that Sunderland are going to do us a favour today and take points off City.

I see the definitive one man team won 3-0.

I wonder if the media will acknowledge how much of a one man team they are...

Of course they won't but to be honest we don't know how much of a one man team they are while Rooney is playing. If he gets injured then we will see.

However, one thing I would say about them is they play as a team and they all try as hard as each other and work for each other (except Berbatov maybe). The same could not be said about us.

The fact that he seems to be scoring about 90% of their goals at the moment, suggests to me that they're a one man team.

Very early yet, loads of time to go. But just the start we wanted.

This kind of thing just makes you think 'imagine if we could have just beat wigan though'

Doesnt matter if the others **** up - we have to win and we've been **** for ages.
