I know what you are saying but he is doing what he should be doing as the main striker. I think if you look at them as a whole you will see their total number of goals has come from more different scorers than ours have (and I know they have scored far more than us). They are well into double figures I think and we have 9.

He's doing far beyond what a main striker is asked to do. He's carrying them to wins single handedly, game after game. It was Ronaldo last year and now it's rooney.

They're more of a one man team than we've ever been, yet the press wont admit it.

As for their goals coming from different scorers - their 2nd top scorer is own goals, ffs.

They're the biggest example of a one man team since Argentina in 1986.

Sunderland have been excellent in these first 25 minutes, really pressing City at every opportunity and not giving them a second on the ball.

You do feel like they'll need another goal to win the game, but with Jones, Campbell and Bent all on the pitch, they're a threat.

Sunderland still playing really well, but spurning chances.

You have to feel that City will get a period of control at some point and create chances.

Sunderland need a 2nd goal IMO.

Darren Bent is suffering from Benayoun's 'cant shoot, wont shoot' syndrome.

Lescott looked to have fouled Campbell in the box there, no penalty though.

Again I hear what you are saying and do agree with you to a degree but a couple of things.

It's not as if he is picking the ball up in his own half and then taking on the whole of the opposition. He is mostly he is in running into space to have the ball passed to him and then he is finishing which is what he is supposed to be doing. We on the other hand are almost 11 statues.

As for their 2nd top scorer being own goals I wish we had as many own goals in our favour as they do. They come from attacking and pressuring the opposition as well as luck but that also comes from attacking and pressuring the opposition and causing them to make mistakes. They have still had 14 or 16 different scorers compared to our 9. I believe we are one of three teams with under 10 different scorers.

Anyway enough of the scum, let's just hope we get a big favour from Sunderland.

By the same context and definition that we've been called a one man team, they're infinitely more guilty of it.

Jordan Henderson, Campbell up top with Bent

City now taking it to sunderland, as expected. Surely an equaliser is inevitable

I hate the fact we are hoping for 'fat eads' team to do us a favour

Unfortunately, until our own team start doing us favours, we're relying on others.
