    Yep, I would take that.

Its no coincidence that Rafa wanted him a few seasons back but he was over priced at the time.

      Bad news for the lad.

      Ah well.

I'm obviously not medically minded. Bale's continuing and looks ok.

Very scrappy game. Spurs just went close with Krancjar, long range effort, spilled by sorensen, but he gathered at the second attempt, before Crouch gets there.

Bale just got clattered again by Fuller Yellow card for Fuller, Joe Jordan's having a fit on the touchline.

Spurs looking more like they're getting their game together at the moment, Stoke have had scant few opportunities to utilise Delap's long throw.

            ...if we could afford him!
Hopefully Sunderland go down and we can put in a cheeky £6m bid in for him.

Etherington with a decent chance to shoot from the edge, shot blocked and behind for Stoke corner.
Swung in, gomes punches, back to wide left, crossed in and a great headed chance for Faye but heads wide from Kitson's flick on. Best chance so far.

PS always rated Bent, great goalscorer.

Stoke's physical game is troubling Spurs, who are now facing one cross after another. Another corner for Stoke.

Gomes under massive pressure, tips it away for another corner. Good pressure for the home side. Swung in from the right by Etherington, Higginbotham comes flying in at the far post, but cant control his header, well over.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Messy defending from stoke, Faye dallying on the ball under pressure from Crouch, puts it behind for spurs corner. Stoke deal with the delivery and the subsequent cross from Modric which goes harmlessly behind.

Another plus for Bent is that he doesn't seem to need to play every week to score unlike some other strikers which is good because obviously he would be back up to Nando.

He might be happy with that role if we where playing Champions League football.

He got messed around by Spurs quite a bit before he was let go and kept his mouth shut, sign of a good pro that.

Absolute blueprint of both sides on show here - Spurs desperately trying to keep the ball on the deck and pass it, Stoke playing it in the air every time.

Decent move for Spurs down the right, ball played in behind the fullback who has to concede the corner, Spurs play it short and try to work it into the box. Eventually the cross from the right is overhit, Stoke throw in on the right hand side, in line with the edge of their own box, from where Delap will probably find the Spurs area.

                                Apart from the twitter stuff

Modric beats Whitehead for skill in the middle of the park and gets caught late, yellow card for the stoke man.
