    Stadiums

Just watching the sky coverage of the CL game in Munich, and they did a brief thing on the Allianz Arena, which is stunning visually.

It's 66,000 capacity, and somehow it only cost £230m to build.

How come it's so much cheaper?

Ours is reportedly meant to cost £350m, Wembley and Emirates both cost the best part of £1b. I know they're bigger and in London, but should they really cost nearly four times as much???

How come the Allianz Arena cost 'only' £230m?

some of it may be land and just the general cost of things here?

ours would cost beacuase of the steel and glass i think

I appreciate that London is obviously prime location where land is concerned. But surely the land in Munich, as such a prominent German city, is pretty ****ing expensive too. Not like London, sure. But surely more or equal to Liverpool?

It staggers me how much more efficiently and cost effectively europeans seem to do this kind of thing, compared to us.

I bet our stadium really would only cost about £200m but the two cunts will pocket £150m! adding up to the magic £350m cost. Im talking the piss but i wouldn't put it past the two ****s to try something like this.

I think Audi and Adidas played some part in this with the finance, along with Allianz but the Germans are well known for their fantastic engineering work. Add in the Swiss design and you have a melting pot of top workmanship..

          Low cost materials..

Also, having visited when I worked in Munich, It is pretty much in an area with nothing else around.. i.e Housing, Development etc

          Sounds like a good answer..

Why cant we use German engineers and Swiss designers then?

Their ground, when lit up in red, would be awesome for us.

Shouldnt be too bothered though, we aint gonna get one anyway, so it doesnt matter.

Even just at that stage, it ceases to be realistic
