the thing is, he was going absolutely mental when sneijder stormed down the left and had him unmarked infront of goal, but just lost control of the ball for a second and it went out of play, so when he had other players running past him and getting in positions for a pass, he ****ed it up, and then the crowd got on his back

what a moron that guy is, loads of talent, he's got everything to succed in football and he's gonna **** it up because of his attitude..

he's just a **** isn't he.....i think there has been a bit of hype about him mainly because he is young and quick and well there hasn't been a young italian player worth hyping up since massimo maccarone blagged his way into the national team despite plying his trade in Serie B

That's the thing though - it was a penalty in my opinion but he dived as well and I'm glad he didn't get it because of that. In fact if he had not done the ridiculous rolling around I think he would have stood a better chance of it being awarded.

i think it was a penalty, it was a ****ing stupid attempt of a chellenge in that situation by sniejder, there may have been 'minimal' contact as sneijder seemed to realise half wya in that he'd ****ed up and try to pull out but it was a penalty.

One way I look at things like this......had that been a liverpool playing bursting into the box, i'd have been screaming until i was blue that it was a penalty!

another thing, who knows how things work in football............but we really really should have done more when selling alonso to madrid to try and get sniejder in the deal. I always thought he was a bit meh......but watching last night i think he had a great game, and would have improved our squad much more than aquilani...............for starters, corners and set pieces would be sorted.

Always liked Sneijder and really hoped we'd get him as part of the Alonso deal. He's a sulky ****er like so many Dutch players but he's definitely not 'meh', the lad is a class act.

There's a lot of debate here...was it a pen, was it not...this angle shows it wasn't...this one shows contact...safe to say, if y'all can't decide, with the benefit of TV replays, then the referee was right to not award it.

And i like Mourinho, the man has attitude and cajones. Wouldn't advocate him as a future manager of LFC, but if he came, c'est la vie.

I'm the opposite...i look at it from the point of view of how would i feel if it was awarded against Liverpool...would i admit it was a penalty, or would i feel cheated.

So, imagine Alves played for Chelsea, and it was Carra in Sneider's position, would you be saying "fair enough, he brought him down, can't argue with that decision" ?

aye - i kinda had him a category of young dutch players who on one hand are technically very good and everyone raves about them as they break through, and then on the other hand it goes to their heads a bit, go to a big club and seem to struggle to fit in,are sulky, over-rated, go missing every now and then etc.

Though I did think sneijder was fired up for it last night, and even if he only turned it on for half a dozen games this season for us, it would have been 100% more than aquilani has provided. Anything more than that and it would have been a ****ing great bit of business
