I couldn't believe that one especially after his performances in the champions league. Then I saw the following on the BBC website:

Maradona, speaking before naming his squad, said he wanted Messi to roam freely during the World Cup in South Africa.

"I don't want him stationed on the [right touch] line," said Maradona. "All the balls have to pass through him.

"I'm going to defend with four centre-backs but I'm also going to have full-backs available in case we need to improve coming out of defence."

Defend the penalty box and hope Messi does something - the man is off his game!

Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has blasted Fabio Capello for omitting Paul Robinson from his World Cup squad.

Robinson failed to make Capello's provisional England squad this week, with Robert Green, David James and Joe Hart all chosen ahead of the Rovers keeper.

But Allardyce has hit out at the 'staggering' decision, believing the Italian must have something personal against his charge.

The Rovers boss told Sky Sports News: "I'm staggered, totally, I think it's the wrong decision completely.

                              Consistently performed
"I think that if you look at his form for Blackburn Rovers, there's not a better English goalkeeper who has consistently performed as well as he has.

"So it clearly can't be anything else other than something that Fabio has against him.

"It has to be because he's always said that people who are in good form would get selected and there's nobody in better form than Paul Robinson at the moment - 13 clean sheets in the Premier League - I don't know what more he wants but, like I said, there must be something happened before that's put him off him as a person, not as a goalkeeper."
                              Unbelievable.

Saw his outburst on SSN earlier and couldnt really fathom what the hell he was banging on about. Capello has had a look at Robinson and obviously rates the other three keepers above him, simple as that. IMO he is entirely correct. Who the **** does Fat Sam think he is anyway, is he suggesting his opinion is superior to Capello's and therefore it must be personal as it's so obvious that Robinson is the best english keeper?

I really really detest the man. What a grade A prick.

Yep he's such a ****ing cunt, he continually refers to his opinion as fact. If I could take a swing at any man in football I think it'd be him ....even ahead of Neville and Ferguson.
