I don't think it was deliberate, but did it obstruct the Bayern player from a goal scoring chance? Would have been controversial anyway.

Kuyt is a striker, Babel thinks he's a striker, and Gerrard is an attacking midfield player, like Sneijder. It's the same. You can argue about quality but that aside and it's the same.
