        I'd just add, that if winning is everything... what if all sides adopted the tactics of Maureen and Inter last night, what sort of game would we be left with in years to come ? No doubt Maureen is a winner, and the more he wins the more managers will copy his style of play.

          Ribery was **** in most of the Champions League knockout games I saw him play though. Not sure he would have made THAT much of a difference to be honest. A tad overrated IMO.

            I hear ya but I don't think Mourinho would have treated him as a player struggling to find form. I think he would have given him the respect his world class talent deserves and this might have opened up gaps for the rest of the side. That's all assumptions, true.

            The real big blow would have been psychological as he's the boss of that team basically.
