    Yup.

You can't win a WC without a great keeper.
(not saying Hart is, but its the closest)

James is a clown and Green is average.

Joe Hart is a fantastic prospect, good stopper, loud, properly aggressive and very very very confident. Thats what you need at this level. Not a wimp like Green.

Shaun wright phillips has done **** all for the past 2 years, can't get into the man city team and yet the in-form winger of the league Adam Johnson gets left out for him??

As usual England make bad decisions, when you have young aggressive hungry players ready to play then ****ing play them

Shouldn't ignore the fact that, had Green not been a spacker, we would most likely have been comfortable winners of that game, with USA pushing on fir an equaliser in the 2nd half.

Green cost us that, no doubt about it - USA started to really turn it up once they drew level.

It strikes me just how much of an error it was, the ball was right in front of him and he practices that kind of save at least 50 times just before one match, it should be his bread and butter.

Doubt Capello will bring in Joe Hart, i think he will stick with Green, however if it was me i would play Hart from now on. Very confident and has had the best season out of all three of our keepers.

Agree there have been some **** decision. Selects an injured King and he lasts 45mins. Selects SWP and then plays him on the left.

The main problem is like liverpool, there are half a dozen international class players and then loads of ****e. Warnock, Carragher, SWP, Milner, Heskey, Green, Hart, James, Jermain Defoe, Michael Carrick, Michael Dawso, are miles away from the quality needed for a team with aspirations of contenders.

I think he'll switch to David James, and rightly so.
                Really?

Agree. Hart is the best out of a very average bunch.

i felt neither side had any reason to be happy with that performance. we were proper ****e, and happy to capitalize on your errors. our goal was ****, but your attacking were nearly as bad. pretty **** all the way around really.

If Heskey or SWP could finish, england would've won comfortably.

Late to the party, but agree; USA were poor, Altidore's chance the only legitimate chance of the night for us, but I blame Bob Bradley for starting Robbie Findley which paid no dividends at all; that kid is all pace and no finishing. Michael Bradley covering with Clark sucked Donovan backward all night and we had no ability to control the midfield and provide much danger at all. Still, once we got the gift, we bunkered well, which is huge step forward for USA, and I am over the moon with a draw, regardless of how it came. Now, off for more drinking!

I have been hoping for years. Unfortunately until one can make 11 million a year playing footy in the US our best athletes will funnel into *ahem* netball, rounders and gridiron (or throwball if you prefer). Footy players will be afforded continued second class status a la those who play biscuit sticks (hockey, although NHL salaries are far beyond those of the MLS).

Luckily for Rob Green it happened in the very first game so after a week everyone will forget about it because they will beat Algeria and Slovenia and progress to the next round. If this had happened in the knock-out stages then it would have haunted him for the rest of his life
