Gerrard and Johnson were England's two best players, followed by Heskey who also played well (apart from when it comes to chances ). I thought despite the critisism that Carragher got from some quarters I thought England were better defensively in the second half than the first.

If i was Capello i'd stick Milner or even Gerrard on the right as they can cross the ball.
Besides there's Johnson behind them who bombs forward and plays as almost plays like a winger when he gets going.

Fair enough. i just felt whilst he had the beating of the full back pace wise he never used the ball effectively when in good positions.

There was 4 or 5 times when Rooney was pointing for the ball but he delayed and tried to get to the byline and beat his man when the better thing to do would be to get the ball fired into the box.

He's potentially a very dangerous player but he needs to mix his game up with crossing it early and taking more responsibility when he has the chance to shoot at goal.
