The comparrison is just lazy and tabloid. A wrong decision around cms is one thing, happen every game for throwins and corners etc, it's touch and go. A decision like that cannot be excused for any other reason that the linesman ****ed up in a huge way, so much so he should be sent home ala Graham Poll. Same level of incompetence.

Operation.....you can take any example of it to hand.....the 1966 one is just the most handy one to hand.
We've seen worse decisions than this one over the years..........that's not excusing it, but either way, the refs didn't see it (are can you suggest they did?).
The ref is dependent on the linesman to tell him if they are over the line;........if he didn't see it for any reason (incompetence, the angle, he ****in' blinked etc), he can't give it because the England fans/team say so.

Its happened, and it'll continue to happen, at least until video tech comes in...........England have benefitted from other decisions in other games, same as every team has at some point. So the best thing they can do, is come out in the 2nd half and channel that frustration into playing well.........like I said earlier, the ref will see that at halftime and might well even it up so to speak in the next 45mins.
