Johnson is fat and **** now, sadly. I'd have taken him two or three years ago but his time on the injury table seems to have taken a lot out of him.

Weiss seemed quite lively from what I saw of him in the WC - perhaps a decent replacement for Yossi?! As in not good enough to start every week but a good squad player that can come on with 30 minutes to go and run at defenders.

Yeah, but you'd be pretty pissed off to pay overinflated wages to players that don't even play if you were the owner. I don't care how much money one has, throwing it out like that is just silly and would result in agitation. Wouldn't be surprised to see some surprising loan deals or budget signings close to the end of the window.

Just wondering though, their wages they are currently on might spell trouble to interested parties. It's outrageous what they're doing.

Correct. There needs to be 8 homegrown players in the squad and U21's don't count. So in theory if you have a large squad the numbers of players could far exceed 25.

If their owners cared about paying stupid amounts of money out, then they wouldnt have done half of what they've done so far.
