But the article says Genoa are making a profit on him (if the deal goes ahead)so presumably Milan could have got him for the same price and Portsmouth could have made more moneyThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

surprise surprise-
Portsmouth have made a complaint to the Football Association and the Italian Federation over non-payment of money for Kevin-Prince Boateng's transfer.
A fee of £5m was agreed with Genoa for the 23-year-old midfielder, who was subsequently loaned out to AC Milan.
"Genoa were due to pay the first instalment two weeks ago," said the Championship side's administrator Andrew Andronikou.
"We've been listening to excuses. We've had enough."
He added that Pompey, who have amassed debts of over £120m, were due the second of their four instalments in about a week.
"We complained last week on the 15th and got a response saying 'sorry, we mistook your bank details'," said Andronikou. "A week later, it doesn't look like the cheque has even hit the post."
Boateng helped Ghana to the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup.
He joined Portsmouth from Tottenham in 2009, scoring five goals in 27 appearances for the club.
Portsmouth, who are without a league win this season, are currently bottom of the Championship.

Haha it sounds bad, but I'm sure that things will be resolved. Enrico Preziosi Genoa's president is a well known businessmen in Italy and owns a massive toy company. He's outspoken and a little eccentric but nothing compared to some of the other figures there. Now, if it were Maurizio Zamparini (of Palermo) I'd be signing a different tune.

Zamparini is widely known in Italian football for his alleged lack of patience and proneness to sack managers. He has sacked a total of 26 head coaches since his enter into football in 1987, fifteen at Venezia and seven at Palermo, with one of the latest being Francesco Guidolin, which Zamparini had sacked already 3 times before, on 24 March 2008. Ironically, the sacking of Guidolin meant the return of Stefano Colantuono, who had already been sacked by Zamparini on 26 November 2007.Originally posted by Zapater View PostNow, if it were Maurizio Zamparini (of Palermo) I'd be signing a different tune.
Zamparini sacked Stefano Colantuono and hired Davide Ballardini.
Ballardini was sacked in in May 2009 and was replaced by Walter Zenga, who was sacked 24 November 2009.
