Irish players are criminally overrated by the Irish.

Oddly the Scots are not guilty of this - perhaps it's because their players are so utterly abysmal that they know they'd look beyond stupid if they trumped them up.

Depends. I think he's excellent and will get better still. If you mean all that "he's as good as Alonso" stuff, then yeah definitely overrated.

Very good player though and IMO it's inexplicable that he can't get in the England squad ahead of the likes of Carrick.
