Thanjk you.

And how can they do that if the money simply isnt there?
£700m debt - it cost them over £100m to service last year.
Do you think if Rooney and Ferguson put on a little act, the Glazers can just magic some money from somewhere?
doubt it - they've already mortgaged everything else they own, it appears...
If the debt keeps going up and the current squad performs as we think it might, after a couple of years of not winning anything and the resulting downward spiral of investment meaning they miss out on a CL place - by that point the club could be worth less than their debt.
I can see the Glazers wanting to cash in before that happens, if they've got any sense..
Anyway, I've been stirring the Mancs up by saying stuff like "you won't love him now he's taken the piss out of the club" and "we've never looked at stevie the same since."

How anyone could have taken Rooney seriously after his 'once a blue' pledge is beyond me anyway. Both cunts deserve each other and it will be great to watch Rooneys best years spent in the wilderness in a declining side overshadowed with financial issues.

Or they'll continue to hold on, in the hope of an independent tv deal.

Woosh...
So if they have no money at all are you saying they were lying to Rooney to get him sign and that they will not buy any decent players at all in the near future. So effectively he's just signed for an extra £10,000 /week.

I dont think it was ever about Rooney's view of the club's competitiveness - it was all about money for him.
And giving him extra wages is far cheaper than continuing to maintain a PL winning squad. They'll do the same as what Hicks & Gillett did - sell one player, replace him for a quarter of the fee.
I tell ya what a sickening farce played out through the media by Rooney and his agent. Its end good for both Rooney and Man Utd, as for Rooney he gets a bumper pay packet and as for United, well Rooney is locked down in a nice long termer and if "suddenly" Rooney wants out in the summer some team will have to fork out the big bucks to get him, instead of the money that would have been paid for Rooney with one year left on his deal.
So all ends well for both parties but for me this is just another reason why football is well and truly going down the ****ter, these over paid, over rated, egotistical ******s and their agents spinning and plotting through the media its sickening that this is happening so regularly. Football is truly a business, my love for the game is slowly diminishing.
So its another couple of hundred grand for Rooney to gamble with and United keep their top man, i hope that club crumbles.

Where's the woosh, bender?
I stupidly actually thought it was at first. lets face it Shrek doesnt have to worry about money ever again. I genuinely thought he realised Scum are on the decline and it was about the trophies.
But of course its not, Its all about the dirty cash. Nothing has changed in the last few weeks other than Rooneys offer increasing.
Collymore on TS in a min..apparently a premiership football player has been having a go at Collymore on Collymores own Twitter thingy..account or whatever...over Collymores comments about Rooney..so Collymore is going to have...they say..right of reply...apprently this player has had a right go at him and he's not happy...hehe..should be good for a laugh.

What a cunt.
So did i, but the very quick change of heart (to coincide with a brand spanking new contract) makes it obvious that the greedy little cunt just did it for the cash.
Rooney realises that the mega mega offer from Citeh is too good to refuse, so sets the agent on it. Agents sorts deal, Rooney stamps his feet and releases that statement.
Rooney then gets wind that there's a few nasty people a bit annoyed at Waynes decision and as seen by some of the graffiti today, they've made some threats/noise. Life in the city would be horrible for him if he made the switch.
After realising this maybe a bad idea, he tries abroad. Mourinho may publicly say he wants Rooney, but the money men who buy the players at Real says nah, we've got Ozil, Ronaldo, Higuain, Di Maria so thanks but no. Barca just aren't interested so, uh-oh, what to do. Cue embarassing U-turn and a bit of time out (with the ankle 'injury') so its out of the armchair brigades minds.
Good effort Paul Stretford. I bet you've made a wedge out of this!

It's Rio Ferdinand, who slated Collymore on his twitter:
"What does stan collymore know...he's talking like what he thinks is the gospel truth. For some1 who "loves the game" soo much NOW where was his love for the game when he was a player playing the game??? "
