ARSENAL’s Samir Nasri has re-opened his war of words with former team-mate William Gallas, who will tomorrow make his first return to the Emirates Stadium since leaving the Gunners for rivals Tottenham in the summer.

Nasri has launched a furious attack on Gallas, insisting that claims made about him in the defender’s book are "rubbish", and that the pair did not exchange a single word during the whole of last season.

"We don’t talk to each other but then again, we played together for a year at Arsenal without talking to each other too," said Nasri, who comes into the north London derby in sparkling form. "Other players didn’t talk to him either, but the squad’s collective spirit would transcend everything."

Nasri was infuriated that Gallas suggested the pair had fallen out during Euro 2008, and that Nasri’s attitude had also upset Thierry Henry. Nasri, Gallas wrote, had deliberately sat in Henry’s seat on the team bus to undermine the senior striker. That was rubbish, Nasri countered.

"I never had the slightest problem with anyone at Marseille or Arsenal, and those who called me a little twerp after Euro 2008 realised this summer that some of those with whom I’d had a few problems then were the ones who screwed up in South Africa. So then people said to themselves, ‘Well, perhaps it wasn’t us kids born in 1987 [Nasri and Karim Benzema had been singled out] who were the twerps after all. Respect has to be reciprocal. I don’t have to shut my mouth and say ‘Amen’ to everything just because I’m younger.

Decent chance of winning something this year, as they are easily the most capable of putting a few wins together despite their occasional hiccups, which could come in handy if Chelsea continue being crap.

Spurs are terrible so far though......

Aye, I seriously think they will win the league. And they might do it with the handicap of **** goalkeepers too

They can pass to him but he won't be all that effective because he's up against RB thats just as fit as him and can match him for speed better than anyone

Arsenal will not win the league. They miss a good goalkeeper and a set of bollocks.
