His dad was a semi-pro footballer wasn't he? At a guess his father would have been in childhood as our golden era started. I'd be more surprised if Eden hadn't been educated at some point about us.

I would be very surprised if he didn't know who Kenny was, as you mentioned his father would have mentioned him and any checking on LFC history would immediately make it very clear who he is and his status at LFC - and remember he certainly will know who LFC are and our history, being the best player thats ever worn the shirt for us you'd imagine would give him an idea who Kenny is!

Lille trio Adil Rami, Eden Hazard and Gervinho have attracted the attention of Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson, according to the Independent.

The group of players, who have been impressive for Lille the last two seasons, are said to be potential targets once the January transfer window opens.

Rami, who featured in France's 2-1 win against England at Wembley last week, is said to be the priority for Hodgson. The Anfield outfit are desperate for new defenders following Daniel Agger's prolonged injury doubts and the French centre-back impressed Hodgson in person at Lille's victory against Monaco, which took them to the top of Ligue 1.

Ivorian Gervinho and Belgian Hazard also shone in the game, but it is understood that the €35.5 million fee Lille demanded for Hazard from Lyon this summer places him well outside of Liverpool's budget.
