In the last two seasons for their respective clubs....

Messi: 74 games 72 goals and 26 assists.

Ronaldo: 57 games, 54 goals and 14 assists.

    Just abso****inglutely unreal.
They are clearly the two best players in the world by some distance.

Two phenomenal footballers that are miles ahead of anyone else in the game right now.

Messi has made or scored 98 goals in 74 games, that's 1.3 per game

When was the last time football fans had two players of this quality playing at the same time, of a similar age and in the same division. I could belive that they are making La Liga a better brand and even help increase revenues for the whole league.
          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Anyone who subscribes to the Sky bull**** about the PL being the 'best league in the world' is an utter, utter, utter cretinous buffoon.

They wouldn't score that many goals every season in England though. Defenders tackle much harder and are much more physical in the Premier League whereas in La Liga they just stand off alot

Possibly also true to say that defenders in La Liga stand off because they're facing more skilful players, who would make mugs of them, if they just went lunging in.

However brilliant they are I still think the PL is the best league in the world

Beckenbauer, Pele, Cruyyf, and Best....maybe an early Maradonna might have overlapped a bit?

ah...missed the bit about the same division.......

I don't care how good Ronaldo is - the fact that he's a cunt will make him less regarded than Messi when they both retire imo. I STILL cannot believe that Ronaldo got away with pushing a manager - it was utterly disgraceful!!
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

I wonder what they would be like in the same team? Would they gel? would they be too similar? would their ego's get in the way?
                                We come not to play.
