I'll never understand how a league has teams that hire the same managers who were sacked multiple times from other teams in the same league. It just baffles me.

To be honest though Alladyce has a consistently good record for smaller teams. You can see why teams of a similar stature think he is a safe pair of hands. There aren't that many managers who get a lot of PL jobs without some justification that I can think of.

I can see the argument that perhaps over the long term few innovative young managers have been given a chance but then few have done that well when they have had a chance (see for example Aidy Boothroyd).

Yeah the results were okay but launching missiles into the opposition box isn't the only way a small club can do well at this level. Free kicks in their own half turn into proper set pieces, with everyone piling into the opposition box and Robinson launching it from his own half into the area. It's dreadful stuff.

I dunno, most of the teams in the bottom half of the PL play direct football, in the short term he could have kept them in mid-table before appointing someone in the summer. They players may not take to this Kean bloke and they end up relegated, then what will they do!!
