KRULAK: TIME FOR VILLA TO KICK OUT

Aston Villa director General Charles Krulak has urged the team to "kick the c**p" out of their opponents as they bid to avoid relegation.

Villa are currently one point from the Barclays Premier League bottom three following Saturday's defeat by Wolves with supporters turning against manager Gerard Houllier.

However, non-executive director Krulak, a confidante of Villa owner Randy Lerner and a Vietnam war veteran, has attempted to rally the fans with a heartfelt message on supporters' forum Villa Talk.

The American said: "When my Marines put on their uniforms and the emblem of the Corps and went into battle and things got tough, they did not fight for their Commander, they fought for their brothers-in-arms, the men wearing their uniform and emblem.

"When a player puts on a kit and wears the club badge, I would expect the same. We have very good lads who know how to play with passion. We have all seen them do it and have cheered them on. They are professionals who have given 110 per cent in many games.

"What we need now is to quit pointing fingers and everyone look at the Claret and Blue of our kit and the badge they are wearing and go out and kick the c**p out of the next teams we play until the end of the season!"

Meanwhile Villa chief executive Paul Faulkner has publicly re-iterated his support for under-pressure manager Houllier.

Club sources have already insisted that the Frenchman's position is not under threat and Faulkner has told BBC Radio 5Live he believes Houllier is the right man for the task ahead.

He said: "Our best chance of staying up is with Gerard."

If they all go some serious investment will be needed to get them up and around the top 6

They should put the general in charge for the rest of the season.

I've envisaging a Full Metal Jacket style scenario with Richard Dunne as Private Joker, Friedel as Private Cowboy and Heskey as Private Pile.

Up to 9th now. Doesn't look so bad now for Houllier.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Never been the same since his heart operation.

                        Hope he's okay.

Horrendous, hope it's not related to the heart trouble.

Give it up Ged and put your feet up.
