All his comments of late have started to get him noticed. Don't think he's got any sort of track record.

        McCLAREN BACKS DZEKO DEAL

Arsenal v Man. City. Click here to bet.

Steve McClaren believes Edin Dzeko will be a "good buy" for Manchester City and expects the striker to form a potent partnership with Carlos Tevez.

City are closing in on a deal to sign Dzeko from Wolfsburg and the Bosnian hit-man is expected to cost in the region of £27million.

Dzeko has been one of the most prolific strikers in Europe in recent seasons and has been a target for many of the continent's leading clubs.

Premier League title chasers City appear to have won the race for the 24-year-old and Wolfsburg coach McClaren is confident Dzeko will be a hit in England.

"He will be ideal for City, especially alongside Carlos Tevez," said the former England boss in the Daily Mirror. "That will be a very potent partnership, very strong.

"I wish him well and hope he fulfils his dream and potential there.

"He is a very, very good player and that is reflected in the price.

"He is a big lad, strong and quick too. He also has good technique.

"But most importantly he is a goalscorer who gets them with his left foot, his right foot, his head. That is what City are getting. He is a good buy for them."

McClaren feels Dzeko will adapt to playing in the Premier League, but did suggest the forward will need to up his work-rate.

He added: "He is a good boy, but he needs to work harder now he is in the Premier League than he does at present. But he will adjust, no problem."

Will Harry Redknapp be critisised for the money he lost on Keane? - I doubt it
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

To be fair he should be lauded for getting that much for him.

Diego Cavalieri left Cesena to join Fluminese on a free... Seems like maybe we were lucky to get anything for him.

Edin Dzeko has joined City after completing his transfer from Wolfsburg.

He has signed a four and a half year deal and will wear the number 10 shirt.

The prolific 24-year-old striker can’t wait for the new marriage to start after a lengthy engagement.

He is likely to make his home debut against Wolves at CoMs on Saturday week (tickets still available).

“It has been a long time that I have been linked with the club going back to last summer but Wolfsburg did not want to sell me until today,” he smiled after completing a medical.

“There was too much speculation in the papers but my head is always clear. It is important that is the case because if you think too much about what might be it is a distraction and it can affect your game. I was always attracted most to joining City.

I can't help but think he's a replacement for tevez, who I think will be off in the summer
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

I just hope we sign some muscle and energy. We've been way too weak this season and need someone to bully other teams a bit.

                                That's an odd one.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
