AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Italy striker Antonio Cassano from Sampdoria.

The player had been training with the Serie A leaders in Dubai and now the club have made his move official.

A short statement on the club's official website, www.acmilan.com, read: "AC Milan announce the acquisition of Antonio Cassano."

Valencia have won the race to sign France international defender Adil Rami.

A host of clubs including Marseille, Liverpool and Aston Villa were strongly linked with the 25-year-old.

But Lille have now agreed a deal worth over £10million with Spanish giants Valencia.

Los Che confirmed the swoop on their official website, revealing that Rami had signed a four-year deal with the club.

Valencia also revealed that Rami would be staying with Lille until the end of the current season before moving to Spain in the summer.
